Eresin Crown Hotel and Museum is in the heart of the historical peninsula, the Sultanahmet, and only a 13 mile (20 kilometres) drive from the Ataturk International Airport and the Kariye Museum. When you step out the door of the hotel you will be within a 15 minute walk of great shopping, dining and entertainment as well as the Topkapi Palace, Saint Sophia, Blue Mosque, Cisterns, Covered Bazaar, Harbour, and Railway Station. The Eresin Crown Hotel built on the site of the Great Palace is also a Museum. A number of Roman, Hellenistic and Byzantine artefacts were discovered when the hotel was under construction. Hotel management received permission to keep the objects on display in the Hotel making Eresin Crown the first “Boutique Museum Hotel " in the country and may be even in the entire world. The Hotel also plans to have a picture gallery of impressions of Byzantine and Ottoman life to be painted by Mr. Gültekin Çizgen, Turkey’s most renowned expert.
